Aero Wind Bootie
Whether you are trying to snag your favorite segment or in need of a little protection against the elements, the Aero Wind Bootie have you riding at your best.
These are probably my 2nd all time favorite pair of booties/overshoes/shoe covers. Pros- 1. Great snug fit and not "too" tigth. Ie: you can get them on as opposed to be a super hero to get them on with other brands. 2. The front hole for your cleats is perfect. Plenty of room but not too much room. 3. The size is right. I am usually a large, and I got a large and it fits just right. Buy the size your normally would wear or that corresponds with your shoe size per the size chart provided. 4. The back zipper is nice and zips up easy and has a flap inside to protect you from the zippe when zipped up. 5. A small patch in the bottom back of the heel that is reflective. 6. No brushed fleece inside so a straight up wind proof/resistant overshoe. 7. Priced just right due to the above. Cons- 1. I would like to have seen a little more reflectivity on the back and sides. Perhaps on the back a small vertical reflective strip the height of the zipper and running along it. The one patch on the back provided at the heel is no where near enough considering it's winter and the daylight time is sensitive and shorter. The eliel logos existing on the outter edge need to be reflective. 2. The back/heel hole needs to be cut ou wider. It's barely allow the back of the shoe to touch the ground. Thus destroying the overshoe in the heel on the material touching as you walk. Hole needs to be bigger. Those are my only draw backs. These are great overshoes. Keeping your feet warm and dry with overshoes starts with....really great merino wicking wool socks. A great pair of winter socks will help keep your feet dry and allow them to breath to the socks stay dry and with these booties cutting down on wind coming in to the foot aear your feet will stay dry and hopefully warm. Most companie over think overshoes for cylcing. For weather temps ranging from 40-55 these are great. I think any colder then that you might want some brushed internal fleece for warmth/layering. These are great, for above 40 degrees. Good job Eliel. Once your T3 winter overshoes become available I plan to buy a pair of those for the those extra cold days below 35 degrees. 3.
