The feeling of freedom. Being close to nature and friends. It makes me feel like a little kid. 

What are your goals for the future? On and off the bike...

 On the bike I'd love to do some Bike packing. Off the bike, continue to live in the moment.

What is important to you?

 Family, Friends, Love, Purpose and Passion.

Johnny 's Story

My love of cycling started later in life, but it didn't take long before I was hooked. A small group of riders in my town took me under their wing and really poured their knowledge into me. Heck, the first time I rode with them they literally had to push me the entire distance. Not with words of encourage, but literally, a hand on my back pushing my fat butt 40 miles. Without that group, my love for cycling would have dissipated quickly. I owe them so much. I've transformed from a total "Fred" to someone who is now riding a couple hundred miles during the week and racing on weekends. And I've become the one with my hand on someone's else's back giving them a push. I now live in Prosper, TX where there are no beaches to lounge on or hills to climb. We have beautiful country roads on the north edge of the Dallas area, and the wind is always blowing (rarely a tailwind). I've found my tribe here, and we all continue to pay it forward. I have been so blessed to have had so many amazing adventures with so may great people. The friends I have made from cycling are more than friends, they are family.
