Eliel, a California cycling brand, has formalized a partnership with the Austin based Super Squadra elite racing team for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Since early 2014, Eliel has established itself as the performance and design leader on the West Coast, and will be supplying Super Squadra with a full range of gear for their races and clinics throughout Texas. The team will formally change its name to Super Squadra presented by Eliel.
“We know that Texas has a well established cycling scene, and our brand is committed to the market,” said Eliel co-founder Derek Wiback. “And we couldn’t be more excited to join forces with one of Texas’s longest standing cycling teams.”
Wiback said Eliel is focused on producing gear that reflects California’s racing culture and leadership in technology. Eliel imports all their raw goods from Europe, and laser cuts each piece for an exceptional fit. Eliel’s product line of custom and retail apparel is both designed and manufactured at its studio/factory in North County San Diego.
“The generous support of Eliel will greatly assist Super Squadra’s ability to compete at the local and national level, develop young and talented racers, and offer our community programs, including the Beginner Racer Program cycling clinics at the Driveway Series,” said Ian Dille, Super Squadra racer and team manager. “And, in our Eliel gear, we’re going to feel as great as we look. I’m excited to show it off in the new season.”
