Men's Bib Shorts
Classic Diablo Bib Shorts
Built on the same profile as the Laguna Seca Bib Short, the Diablo Bib Short introduces enhanced breathability and ventilation through the legs without compromising compression or sun protection.
This is my go to standard. If you live where it gets hot or you run hot yourself the Diablo line makes things better. Add a base layer under the jersey and wear it down to 55 degrees. The fabrics used allow for maximum breathability yet are sturdy performers that can handle those long rides and frequent wears. The chamois in the bibs is dense but not too bulky and provides great comfort. The compression is noticable. Sizing is true.
You might think that having a thin jersey is the only thing you need for those hot days when the sun is unrelenting, but the Diablo bibs are so essential that I have two pair for our SoCal summers. The flat shoulder straps are much “cooler” and less tight than those on the Leguna Seca bibs, but the compression fit in the legs does not differ from Eliel’s standard bibs. I’ve actually found use for these on moderate temperature days (70-80) when coupled with a standard-weight jersey as my core stays warm but the leg engines stay nice and cool.
Summer in New England can be extremely hot and moist. The Diablo is a game changer on those previously miserable days when you feel like you've lost 5 gallons of sweat through your bibs. Not anymore! Helps to keep you cool while the chamoise stays comfortable for hours.
The awesome chamois paired with the lightweight, not-quite-mesh side panels make the Diablo bibs my go-to for long days in the hot SoCal summers.
