What attracted you to Eliel?

The people. I got to know a few of the old employees doing the Wednesday morning Eliel Ride from Iron smith when it was still going on. (time to bring it back!) The people were so nice and inviting it made it easy to want to be around. It is the cherry on top that the clothing is the best of the best! Love how Eliel keeps things new and exciting while still making the most comfy on bike products out there!

What about bikes brings you joy?

It allows you to see your immediate surroundings in a completely new light. Also, it helps me stay grounded and keep a healthy perspective on life.

How does riding make you a better person?

Cycling helps me be overall a more happy well rounded person!

Which rider inspires you the most?

My old man! I have probably spent the most miles on the bike with him and always value that time spent. Also, he keeps getting older, but continues to ride with no end in sight and I hope to be the same way.

What are your goals for the future? On and off the bike...

I would like to reach some consistency in my riding again and get enough fitness back to do some racing. That being said, the goal is to always have fun on the bike and if thats all, still a good day! Off the bike I would like to continue to move up in the bike industry and hopefully create opportunities for cool experiences in my future.

What is important to you?

Family and friends. It is the people you surround yourself with that can make you a lot happier. I am stoked to say I have some awesome people around me!

Max's Story

I got started riding with my dad from a young age, probably ten or twelve. The sport always was something that just made sense to me and had a natural want to do. This morphed into wanting to race and be competitive so I started racing cross country mountain bikes with the NorCal NICA League. From there I got a job in a bikeshop and they have been a part of my life ever since. I ride all disciplines, anything with two wheels and I'm pretty much there. I believe in the power of the Bicycle to help people, whether it be mental or physical it is amazing what something so simple can do to change someone's life for the better.
