What attracted you to Eliel?

The kits are eye-catching and comfy, and I love that Eliel is in Vista which makes it a local brand to San Diego.

What about bikes brings you joy?

I love the feeling of flying during a wicked fast descent and enjoying peace and reflection when I hear nothing but the tires on the road and the sound of my breathing.

How does riding make you a better person?

Suffering on the bike strengthens my mind so I’m ready for whatever life throws at me. The health benefits aren't so bad either.

Which rider inspires you the most?

The Vegan Cyclist YouTube videos. I love watching his travels and bro science.

What are your goals for the future? On and off the bike...

My biking goal is to keep cycling until my legs can't turn pedals anymore and to try gravel riding. Off the bike, my goal is to be a kick-ass husband, father, son, and friend.

What is important to you?

Time. Don't waste it.

Marny's Story

I'm currently serving in the US Navy and have been for the past 22 years. I picked up cycling midway through my career because I wanted a new way to exercise; I had no idea I would love it so much. When the Navy sends me places for training or deployments, I bring my bike and check out the local shops. So far I’ve been to Pensacola, Sacramento, San Francisco, Hawaii, Seattle, the Philippines, Australia, and Dubai to name a few. In the middle of the Pacific Ocean, I would spin on my trainer and watch the waves go by. There's a lot of good memories related to cycling and I look forward to making more.
