Hayley Bates

What's your story?

My parents were always cyclists, so I grew up around the sport but was never too involved. I finally got into racing when my parents started training for Leadville, and I ended up doing it when I turned 18. After that I met my first coach. I love mountain biking but prefer racing road, and now I focus on criteriums and the track!

What attracted you to Eliel?

Being a SoCal local, I was able to meet the staff and was sold. It's the people that make the company so incredible! The fun designs and quality fits are just a huge plus :)

What about bikes brings you joy?

The people you meet and the places you get to go. I love training too.

What are your goals for the future? On and off the bike...

I am forever focusing on becoming a stronger and smarter racer! I have some big goals in the track cycling world. Off the bike, grad school lies ahead.

What is important to you?

Doing the things that make me the best (happiest) version of myself. I believe the people around you, near and far, benefit when you are your best self.
